From Forgotten to First Note.

Every instrument we place started somewhere else. Here's how we get it to a student who needs it.

01

We Come to You.

Moving a piano is hard. We know. That's why we make it as easy as possible. When you have a piano or instrument you'd like to donate, you reach out to us. We schedule a pickup at your convenience, bring our own team and equipment, and haul it away — completely free of charge.

No truck rental. No awkward staircase negotiations. No leaving it on the curb. Just a simple handoff that begins something meaningful.

Tax Deduction Included

Every instrument donation to 88 Again qualifies as a charitable contribution. We provide documentation for your records.

We Make It Play Again.

Not every piano arrives in concert condition. Some need tuning. Some need new strings or hammers. Some need a deep clean and a fresh coat of love.

Our network of volunteer piano technicians and luthiers assesses every instrument and brings it back to life. We don't give students broken instruments. We give them instruments that sing.

Volunteer Technicians Needed

Are you a piano technician, luthier, or instrument repair specialist? We'd love to have you on the team.

It Finds Its Forever Home.

We partner with schools, music educators, community centers, and social service organizations to identify students and families in genuine need.

When a match is made, we deliver the instrument — for free — and whenever possible, we help connect the recipient with local music education resources and teachers. The goal isn't just to give someone a piano. It's to give them a beginning.

Anyone Who Deserves a Chance to Play.

We prioritize families and students who face financial barriers to music education. That includes:

  • Children in Title I schools and underserved communities
  • Families who cannot afford private instrument purchases
  • Adult learners returning to music after years away
  • Community music programs with limited budgets
  • Youth in foster care or transitional housing

If there's a will to learn, we want to help provide the way.
